PAR-LAY

Privacy Policy

Effective: May 19, 2026 · Last updated: May 19, 2026

PAR-LAY (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) is a golf betting tracker that lets you create matches with friends, place mock bets using in-app credit (no real-money wagering), and track who owes what at the end of a round. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what’s needed to run the app.

Account information

Sign in with Apple

If you sign in with Apple, we receive:

We do not receive your Apple ID or password.

App usage

Technical data

We do not collect: location data, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers, or health data.

2. How we use your information

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your information.

3. Who we share information with

We only share information with the third-party services we need to operate:

ServiceWhat we shareWhy
Apple (App Store / Sign in with Apple)Purchase receipts, anonymized user IDProcess IAPs, authenticate Apple sign-in
RevenueCatA unique user ID, purchase receiptsManage subscriptions and verify entitlements
Resend (email provider)Recipient email + reset linkSend password reset emails
Our database hostAll app data aboveStore your account and matches

These services are bound by their own privacy policies and only process data on our behalf for the purposes listed.

We do not share your information with advertisers, data brokers, analytics resellers, or social media platforms.

4. In-app purchases

PAR-LAY offers a one-time $2.99 premium unlock processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple handles payment and receives your billing information directly — we never see your credit card or Apple Pay details.

We receive a purchase receipt from Apple (via RevenueCat) confirming the unlock is active. That’s it.

5. Betting and “money”

PAR-LAY uses play money only. No real currency is wagered, deposited, withdrawn, or paid out by the app. Bet amounts shown in the app are for tracking what users owe each other socially after a round. Any settlement between users happens outside of PAR-LAY and is not facilitated or processed by us.

6. Data retention

If you delete your account (see Section 8), all associated data is removed from our database within 30 days, except where we’re required to retain something by law (e.g., tax-related purchase records).

7. Security

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your account, we’ll notify you by email.

8. Your rights

You can:

Sign in with Apple users can also revoke access at any time via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple → PAR-LAY → Stop Using Apple ID.

9. Children

PAR-LAY is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

The app handles play-money betting concepts; an adult guardian should decide if it’s appropriate for any minor under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email, with at least 14 days’ notice before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.

11. Contact us
